Swedish
Swedish Massage is a lighter relaxation massage which relieves everyday stress and tension while stimulating circulation.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese massage therapy that uses finger pressure and stretching to enhance an energetic flow throughout the body, balancing body and mind.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue massage therapy uses slow and specific techniques to help loosen adhesions and scar tissue, promote the recovery of over-used muscles, and increase circulation. It is ideal for those with physically active lifestyles.
Hot Stone
A therapeutic and relaxing massage using heated basalt stones. Using slow, smooth, and long strokes, the heated stones penetrate deeply and relax tense muscles. Hot Stone massage is the perfect treatment for NYC winter weather.

In addition to stress, pregnancy can cause unusual pains in a woman’s body as she is forced to support more weight in new places. Massage can help to reduce general tension and alleviate stress on some of the weight-bearing joints that bother many pregnant women.

Proper skincare begins at home and Shizuka offers the following body treatment as a way to pamper yourself on a cold day. Using ingredients readily available in your kitchen, you can combat the drying effects of winter weather and leave home with glowing skin and a renewed spirit.
Ingredients:
1 c. Honey
Juice of 1 Lemon
1 c. Whole Milk (for your skin’s sake, please do not substitute skim or reduced fat milk)
Procedure:
Whisk the juice of 1 lemon into 1 cup of honey. In a bathtub or shower, massage the mixture into cleansed skin (whole body) for up to 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Using a cotton cloth, gently dab the whole milk into your skin and rinse immediately with warm water. Finish with your favorite body cream or lotion.
