Spa makes a big stink.
SHIZUKA NEW YORK DAY SPA, the Japanese salon that brought bird-poop facials to midtown, has now introduced the "underarm overhaul," just in time for summer. The treatment begins with a thorough steaming and cleansing to remove dirt and debris (apparently you can get clogged pores in your armpit), followed by hair removal with wax or the more high-tech intense pulsed light (which costs $100 extra). Finally, a plastic surgeon injects the sweat glands with Botox. The price of pristine pits? A mere $1,500.
