New Acupuncture & Thai Massage Treatments

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is based on the premise of meridian movement, as well as the idea that energy pools in particular locations, or points. When the energy within meridians is obstructed, a result may be pain or disease. Inserting acupuncture needles at these obstructed points aims to aid in improving these conditions. Acupuncture is often used to treat musculoskeletal conditions such as back and shoulder pain and headaches/migraines.

Acupuncture therapist Sachie has also been a very popular massage therapist at Shizuka New York Day Spa for five years. Appointments with her are by request. The first visit, including a diagnostic consultation, is $90 – 125 and all visits after this are $70 – 105, based on your personal needs.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage features a combination of deep massage and yoga-like stretches to relieve muscle tension and stimulate circulation. Unlike Swedish massage, Thai massage uses no oil and is performed fully clothed. Thai massage also incorporates joint mobilization and elements of acupressure for an experience that is fully energizing as it is soothing.
